The Pakistan Sports Board hosted an engaging "Dialogue on the Sports Economy" on November 1, 2024, at Islamabad Hotel, where a diverse group of stakeholders gathered to explore strategies for harnessing sports as a major economic force in Pakistan. Discussions covered critical facts of the sports economy, including tourism, branding, broadcasting rights, job creation, merchanting, ticket sales, infrastructure development, sponsorships, digital media, health and fitness, as well as sports goods manufacturing and export.

Mr. Muhammad Yasir Pirzada, Director General of PSB, opened the event by welcoming participants and encouraging collaboration between public and private sectors to foster growth within Pakistan’s sports economy. Later, the event was honored by the presence of Mr. Nadeem Irshad Kayani, Secretary IPC and President of the Pakistan Sports Board, as chief guest. He highlighted the dialogue’s role in shaping a prosperous future for the nation’s sports economy.

Prominent figures from various sectors, including builders, developers, chambers of commerce, manufacturers, exporters, and business leaders, brought valuable insights to the table. Senior officials, including the Additional Secretary IPC, Joint Secretary Sports, and officers from PSB/IPC, were also present on the occasion.
